There is a crater on Mars named after the village of Tugaske.
According to the Canadian Geographic Magazine [ Jan/Feb 1996. Vol 116 No.1 pg.16 ], the International Astronomical Union meets every three years to weigh proposals labelling craters on the Moon, Mars and Venus.
Tugaske was, until 1996, the only place in Saskatchewan with its name on that planet. But here in the village nobody really knows how we've got our name up there!
